(2013) "From exhaustion to exhilaration: assessing librarian job satisfaction with virtual reference", 2 While much has been written about user satisfaction with virtual reference or chat services, only a very small body of literature focuses on librarian job satisfaction. For the most part, disruptive user behavior is not addressed in the literature. The purpose of this article is to analyze the results of a survey of librarian attitudes toward providing chat reference services and to suggest ways to improve job satisfaction.
